What unit did you learn the most from during the class?
I think I learned the most from the animal head unit. I had to work in summitry score and slip forming the right shape and going off a reference of a real life object. Is my cat head prefect no but that's okay. it really taught me how to be patient.

I made origami butterflies flying and sitting on and around a tv screen with footage of real butterflies playing behind.
Did it turn out how you first planned or did the idea change as you worked on it? Really had no plan just an idea you could say I winged it. What made you choose to do a piece like that? Its a simple origami design that's easy to make yet have a elegance to them and I wanted to have technology in it somehow. Does your piece have a deep meaning? If so, what is it? If not, what feeling does your work evoke? I based it off how my brain sees things in the real world and turns it into hard to catch ideas. The beauty of nature has inspired some of the things I've made in the past but I can make everything I think of. I may not have time, motivation, or the idea is completely impossible. Its hard to catch butterflies yet you want to get close cause how beautiful they are. I put them in front of a tv as well cause things i watch like YouTube and anime also give me inspiration that I cant catch. Describe: Making this was a pain I failed twice the first I couldn't take off the bowl I used as a mold the second was too thin. I finally got a good enough bowl that was shorter than I wanted it to be but its pretty wide.
Analyze: its a pretty smooth wide shallow bowl what else is there to say? I think the shape is good for a third attempt. Interpret: My plan was a deep bowl I got a wide shallow one. my plan didn't work at all but I'm happy with what I got in the end. Judge: I'd say I was successful. I failed learned and eventually made a good looking dish. Describe: I found a plate i liked made a slab put it on the plate and struggled to trim the edge. I let it dry a bit before putting on the glaze. I let it dry more before scratching stuff away.
Analyze: not really sure how i came up with the design i think its well balanced. Interpret: I split it in half and tried to make the cats the same size so it was balanced Judge: I think my plate is good i kept it kind of simple. this was definitely a strange project i messed up a few times with the glaze but i think my plate will look good. Describe: First i got a big blob of clay and shaped it into roughly the head shape for a cat. i used clay that i carved out from the inside to make the head hollow to make the ears eyes and nose.
Analyze: Using a bristle brush and the scoring tool i made marks in the direction the fur goes and smoothed it out a bit with a sponge. Interpret: I felt id have more fun making it based on my cat especially cause i had lots of good pictures of her for reference. Judge: I think its successful from the font its a little wonky but the sides you can definitely tell its a cat. Describe:
Describe your piece. How would you describe it to someone who couldn’t see it? A spider on the back of ones head that has made lace in front of them Analyze: Is the piece cohesive? Does it go together? Is it well balanced visually? I don't know I think I does. Interpret: What is the overall mood or feeling from your piece? spooky? Beauty of spiders? I don't know how to put it in words Judge: Do you feel your piece was successful? Why or why not? I think so but I'm not sure but I like it I really don't want to put a picture
